Inspiring Performance Excellence

Bricks and Mortar

Niagara Falls (RSS). Misener Private Holdings Corporation has announced its intention to realign its investment strategy to exclude traditional, “bricks and mortar” operations.

“We gave great consideration to this. We looked at where we’re at with some of these companies, looked at the startup and operating requirements for similar investments, we looked at this top to bottom. The end result is that after great consideration we simply don’t see our future success in bricks and mortar investments. So a decision has been taken to gradually divest ourselves of holdings that are grounded, bricks and mortar, and physical infrastructure heavy, and to focus on lighter, more global, technology-centric opportunities. This represents a shift in our business model and strategic plan.” - Clayton Misener, chief managing director of Misener Private Holdings Corporation on exiting a meeting of directors.

Ten North Holdings Corporation Founded

R. J. Audwalt Industries Ltd. Dissolving

Niagara Falls (RSS). Clayton Misener, managing director of Misener Private Holdings Corporation, announced the intended dismantling, component sale and dissolution of R. J. Audwalt Industries Ltd. The decision was recently taken by the corporate board of directors at Audwalt and confirmed by its shareholders.

Divisions Chef James International, Chef James US and Chef’s Choice will discontinue. Divisions Marie Patisserie and Running with Scissors will be sold to a predetermined buyer and continued under a different entity. Remaining assets will be divided amongst the shareholders.

“There are a few things here. First, the Chef James/Chef’s Choice initiatives never really materialized due to lacking capital. This isn’t to say it wasn’t a good concept, it just never made it past the cutting room. These endeavours were our primary interest in the endeavour. Second, divisions Marie Patisserie and Running with Scissors are much better suited to the small business spectrum, without formal organization and without the need for management services and systems support, leaving little room for us to participate. Finally, Misener PHC is steering away from bricks and mortar investments, which both of the surviving divisions would classify as. For these reasons we supported dissolution and wish sincere luck to the future operators of Marie Patisserie and Running with Scissors. We have divested ourselves of this investment.” - Clayton Misener, managing director of Misener Private Holdings Corporation.
